Conditions of Participation
- Any product involved in participation shall be invoiced to "Domehome Canada" with payment suspended for a period of 10 years. At that time the product will be deemed of no value. HOWEVER. Should the model home be sold within the 10 year program life the participant will be paid for their product on a pro-rated scale of 10% per year depreciation? EX. Should model home be sold in 5 years you will receive 50% of agreed invoice price plus you will have benefit of all the media exposure to your product and the added sales of any homes that we build that we are able to install your product. This offer to participate is not a handout . It is a very real promotion of a most interesting home concept that meets almost every important criteria. Environmental, Ecological, Efficiency, Hypoallergenic, Handicap accessible, Conservation, Economical etc. There is no other housing project that will create this kind of interest and promotion.
- If you do not participate in program and we use your product under normal conditions there will be no promotion of your product in any way.
- Since we are looking for long term partners to provide quality products that meet strict guidelines it is vital that we form some kind of association to meet these goals for long term supply.
- TIME FRAME : As of this date we are waiting for final blue prints, we are #9 on the waiting list for underground dome home final drawings. We expect to break ground during late June. With underground homes all services must be planned in advance since most utilities are under the floor concrete and this includes the footings. The modules will be completed each in 2-3 days for a total of 12-15 days weather considered. Once the floor is poured, your product can be scheduled for installation.
- FINAL STAGE we anticipate the final stage (ready of occupancy) to be no later than Sept 1. Probably in August. With first open house in early September 2004.
- PROMOTION: This important aspect will start as soon as ground is broken and should appear in print within weeks. This will be a series of articles intended to get a steady readership for selected publications. We have interest from major newspapers and will contact others as required. Specialty magazines will be contacted and we intend to video entire project for a series presentation, possibly some TV.
- ACADEMIC INTEREST; presently we have interest from Guelph University and Waterloo University. York University has responded but do not know what form of participation is possible.
- FINANCING: All financing is in place and the property has been purchased, a beautiful 4 acres with pond and hill side North of Guelph just east of Drayton, Ontario.
- TIMING: This aspect was not planned but could not be better. With SKYROCKETING ENERGY COSTS we will get unparalleled interest and exposure. Imagine home heating as little as 10 % of a conventional home, cooling costs are non-existent and maintenance costs are not worth mentioning. Life expectancy in excess of 1000 years. Insurance costs greatly reduced, home is safe from wind, hail, lighting, outside fire, earthquake, and resistant to interior fire.
- The rest is up to you. This project is going ahead with or without partners. Domehome.ca is going to build these homes in Canada and we will need products. Our prime contractor has built over 500 in the past 10 years in USA.
- This is not a handout, you will invoice use with payment suspended until home is sold; there is a 10 year limit and a depreciation of 10% each year. If home is sold in first year, you will be paid 90%, if sold in 9th year, you will receive 10%. We do not anticipate a quick sale, but there is a possibility that we will need a bigger home with more features when we start building in numbers.
